Lucy Properties COVID-19 Update
Following the outbreak of the Coronavirus and in line with the advice from the Government, Lucy Properties have implemented a number of special procedures. The purpose of these procedures is to reduce the risk of exposure to our tenants, staff members and contractors whilst trying to maintain business as usual to our tenants.
We have temporarily closed our offices on Walton Well Road, with staff members working from home. Our maintenance team are now based from home but we have assembled teams to manage tenancy changeovers and essential and external maintenance only.
We are contactable via email and also through our phone system – please call the office as normal and you will be transferred to the member of staff you wish to speak to. We are also maintaining our out of hours support through this time.
Whilst we hope to maintain our current level of service our priority is to ensure that we have adequate measures in place to protect our tenants, staff and contractors.

“These are exceptional circumstances but I want to assure you that we are doing everything we can to continue business as normal as possible. We have an incredible team who are working remotely to continue to serve your needs. Please be patient and understanding whilst we adopt the measures set out by the government to protect you and our staff.
I have had some amazing feedback from my team with reports of our tenants being kind and supportive to each other and the communities that they live in.
Please do call or email your usual office contact if you have questions or concerns.”
Ian Ashcroft, CEO of Lucy Real Estate
Our properties will still be advertised on our website and Rightmove. We will not be carrying out physical viewings with you, this is to protect you, our current tenants and our team. With some properties we may be able to arrange a pre-recorded video tour of the property for you to view via email. Please contact the relevant Property Manager to discuss specific details.
If you are due to move into a property we would like to assure you that our Property Managers and Maintenance Team are working tirelessly to ensure this happens. All of the pre-tenancy information and Tenancy Agreement will be virtual. Your Property Manager will arrange a time to exchange the keys with you on your move in date, meeting outside of the property and observing the government guidelines for social distancing.
Our maintenance team will only be carrying out essential and external maintenance, anything planned or non-essential will be deferred. This will be observed throughout the period of “lockdown” and further reviewed week commencing the 1st June 2020.
We endeavour to maintain our current level of service and our priority is to ensure that we have adequate measures in place to protect our tenants, staff and contractors from the spread of Coronavirus. Where our maintenance team need to attend a tenanted property they will maintain social distancing, wear gloves and overshoes, disposing of these between properties and washing or sanitising their hands between visits. Our key contractors such as gas engineers and electricians have also been asked to adhere to the same protocol.
You will be asked prior to every essential visit if you or anyone in your household is showing signs of COVID-19, please understand that we are required to ask this question for the safety of our team, contractors and their family members.
For property maintenance please email email@example.com giving full details of the issue, including photos to limit the number of visits required to the property.
